Speculations about the health state of President Donald Trump erupted on Thursday March 12, 2020 shortly after a meeting with the Brazilian Delegation in Palm Beach, FL. Press Secretary Fabio Wajngarten was one of the attendees to the meeting who can be seen above being in extremely close promixmity to Donald Trump.

Upon conclusion of the meeting and returning to Brazil, Wajngarten starting noticing flu-like symptoms and promptly was tested for COVID-19. The test did come back positive and Wajngarten has confined himself in his home for quarantine.

The President was asked during a press conference whether or not he was aware of his aide having had contracted the virus.

Trump made the statements to reporters, “we had dinner together with the entire delegation, we did nothing unusual”.

In other words, Trump did not put himself in a position that would lead to the possible contraction of the virus. Since the spread is largely due to physical proximity and bodily fluid exchange, it would be almost certain that the President has been briefed on proper protocol.

Trump continue with the press conference and noted “I’m not concerned” with the possibility of contracting the virus.

This has lead many rumor to surface questioning the state of both Trump and Pence who are not being tested for the virus. White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham made a statement that Trump and Pence “do not require being tested at this time”.

As of now the Coronavirus death total stand at 5,117 people dead with 70,729 cases where the patient made a full recovery. Many of the deaths are between the age groups of 75-85 which would mark President Trump and many other high government officials at serious risk for having a more deadly case.

I for one am skeptical about the claims that Trump contracted the virus from anyone considering he is the most important person inside the United States. The level of protection that he receives from all threats are greater than any normal citizen can imagine. Considering the symptoms of COVID-19 are known to not appear for weeks after infection, one would assumed that precautions are already in place for the President. However, time will reveal whether we are wrong or right.
